The Real Man Of Steel..WW2 Vet Lt. Stephen Ananian Talks About His Encounter With A Nazi ME 262 Jet..and His P51 Won!

Here is something you should all listen to on this Memorial Day. It is an interview on the Car Doctor Show from this Saturday with the pilot of “Baby Mine,” Stephen Ananian (90 years old), who was a P51 pilot stationed in Fowlmere England during WW2. We are lucky he is still with us…and it sent chills up and down our spines as the crew listened to his stories as he tells of his first mission as a B17 escort where he took flak, tried to nurse the plane back to England, and had to bail out over the North sea with 10 foot chop that day.

He also discusses his amazing feat of downing an ME 262 jet (affectionately called “Flaming those Blow Jobs” by the p51 fighter pilots), in combat, with his P51..one of the few to accomplish that during WW2. NOT to mention the great story of him getting shot down during a tank strafing mission behind enemy lines…and his 3 day trek under the cover of darkness back to friendly lines….

here is the interview..
