We purchased this classic vintage Tamiya B2B racing sidecar kit about 15 years ago, painted it, and never ran it, choosing instead to make it a “shelf queen” display model. This Tamiya kit is one of the more unusual kits Tamiya produced as it really replicated the sidecar racers of the 1970′s. The B2B was introduced in 1979 and features a fiberglass chassis with 2 sponge rubber tires in the rear and 1 semi pneumatic rubber tire in front. It came standard with a 380 sized Mabuchi motor which hampers the speed a bit, but is probably a good thing as handling was a little unweildy, to say the least.
